We arrived to a 48 degree filthy house due to a housekeeper's car breakdown. The agency offered, and sent, a housekeeper 3 hours later. But we could not sit anywhere, put away groceries or clothes, or use the bathrooms in the incredibly dirty house. With family arriving from the East Coast and Europe, a 3-hour wait plus cleaning time would mean leaving the house. With no cleaning supplies, while my husband went to purchase them, I dove in on dusting, vacuuming, and 8 loads of sheets and towels laundry. The agency promptly refunded our cleaning fee and cleaning supplies expense, thank you, but the owner's response when asked for a refund on the first night's rental since we cleaned instead of settling in was disappointment that we had not inquired of the plight of the housekeeper (not explained to us) and that as a veteran, he felt his good deeds and faith in society were for nothing. While my husband, a veteran, was cleaning bathrooms. And if we didn't like it, we would be asked to leave. The house and setting are lovely and despite the poor welcome and customer service, we had a wonderful time. It would not have taken much to make us happy. If the refund of a night's rental fee was not a possibility, sending us out for dinner or even coffee while the house was cleaned would have been a wonderful gesture. We would not recommend renting from WAYA Rentals.
My husband and I have been very happy with Waya Rentals. Ron has been amazing! He is very efficient in getting things done to get the condo ready for rentals. Anytime we have a question he answers right away. He is also very nice and pleasent to work with. We give Waya Rentals 5 stars!
Terrible overall experience. The place was as described but was disgusting and treated terribly by the management company. I've rented many homes and working with this company is hands down the worst experience I've ever had. I thought I would go out of my way to book direct via a Airbnb or similar but was treated terrible, got a sub par experience, and cleaned the last persons piss out of the bathroom with zero recourse. I would recommend anyone to avoid this agency.
Our family recently rented the Sandy Pines home in New Buffalo, MI, from Waya Rentals. The entire experience was very easy and Ron was great to work with. He was quick to answer questions and respond to our requests. The home was beautiful and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the pool, ample outdoor space, hot tub and fire pit. It is the perfect place for a family getaway! I definitely recommend Waya Rentals.
